For the Mother of the Bride

Monday, September 1, 2014

This blog has been much neglected by me.  I either upload to my other blog or I forget to upload my blings for brides.

I made a point to remember to upload these two beauties.

A combo of purple, deep maroon, pink and a little lemon to match a very pretty bride's gown for her photo shoot.  Earrings for her wedding gown WIP.

A rather late entry for this lovely pair, part of a few sets I made for this extremely accomodating bride who was a pleasure to work with.  She sent me this photo today and I think it shows the earrings complementing her cheongsam so well.

Bespoke pieces.  4 of 7 bridesmaids necklaces.  One set of bride's earrings to go with a gorgeous and intricately beaded ethnic ensemble.

Trillion cut citrine briolettes make up another pair of earrings for another ethnic outfit.  I love working on this wedding set because of the mix of cultures - Chinese + Straits born Chinese - cheongsam and nyonya kebaya - different yet the same.  I have seen the two outfits and they are absolutely gorgeous.

Today I completed the remaining 3 necklace/pendant set + the bracelet.

Soft pink blush chalcedony faceted brios which are vermeil encased and  which I've topped with labradorite and pink topaz and which I think are picture perfect for a bride. Well it doesn't necessarily have to be for a bride but it is so soft yet lush and radiant that it does seem perfect for your special day.

Brios measure 20 x 15mm
Drop is 42mm

ps - these are actual chalcedony brios encased in vermeil and not glass encased in gold plate....just saying ;p
